As 2008 is an Olympic year, Active 08 will focus on ‘high performance'. However, high performance does not only refer to elite sport, the conference program will also explore:
- What makes an organisation a great organisation.
- The design elements of a healthier, more active community.
- Creating high performance recreation facilities through innovating programming, environmental sustainability and the use of technology.
- Sport and recreation programs that produce positive outcomes such as crime prevention.
In collaboration with Parks and Leisure (PLA), the Western Australian Sports Federation (WASF) and the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), the Active 08 conference program will feature three breakout streams:
