The 2008 conference will be held on 27 and 28 November atWinthrop Hall, University of Western Australia.
The theme for this year's conference is 'High Performance People, Organisations, Communities and Programming'.
As 2008 is an Olympic year, Active 08 will focus on 'high performance'.However, high performance does not only refer to elite sport, theconference program will also explore:
What makes an organisation a great organisation
The design elements of a healthier, more active community.
Creatinghigh-performing recreation facilities through innovative programming,environmental sustainability and the use of technology.

The National Wheelchair Basketball Development League (NWBDL) played its inaugural round last weekend (5–7 March) at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. The weekend was highlighted by a number of hard-fought games, with no matches having a final margin over 10 points.
