The State Government provides funding through the Sports Lottery Account Country Package for country sports organisations.

Who Is eligible?
The Sports Lotteries Account country package is available to:
- country regional sports associations
- sport clubs or groups that are unable to affiliate because no regional association exists.
What can you apply for?
We can offer funding over a range of categories.
Education
To improve the level of coaching, umpiring, administration, officiating and injury prevention techniques in country sport.Player development
To help players in the pursuit of their sporting career and/or to undertake player development opportunities.Hosting competitions
To help sport associations and clubs to host a significant inaugural intra-region or inter-regional event and or a state or national event.Travel
To help selected country athletes in the pursuit of their sporting career through participation in intra-region or inter-regional events and opportunities that are additional to normal fixtures.Special projects
To assist sports associations and clubs with developmental activities increasing participation in their sport. (Increasing participation can be increasing numbers, skills, and quality of experience and/or retaining existing members or officials).Please talk to a regional officer about your organisation's particular needs.

The State government, through the Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR), supports State sporting associations (SSAs) in their development and promotion of the sport in hosting national events in Western Australia. This support can be through consultancy advice and/or funding.
The Organisational Sustainability Program (OSP) was developed to refine the way in which the Department works with key organisations in the WA sport and recreation industry to enable them to meet the challenges they face.
Coach-in-Residence grants
The aim of the Country Sport Enrichment Scheme is to help country Western Australia experience and conduct major sporting events and sport development initiatives.
