Kidsafe WA's Seasonal Safety Campaign focuses on different injury issues throughout the year in order to raise community awareness of child injury. The summer campaign "Holiday Safety - Stay Safe this Summer" will run from December 2008 to February 2009. The campaign focuses on four key components of summer that can be hazardous:

1. Water activities
2. Toys, play and recreation
3. Travel
4. Festive celebrations

Injury is the leading cause of death for Australian children aged one to fourteen, accounting for nearly half of all deaths in this age group. However, most injuries can be prevented: Child Safety is no Accident.

Kidsafe WA has produced a variety of resources promoting Summer Holiday Safety. To access these resources and help keep kids safe this summer, contact Kidsafe WA on 93408509, email kidsafe@kidsafewa.com.au, or visit the Kidsafe WA website
