Hundreds walk for better health

More than 35,000 people from 170 schools, 80 workplaces and 50 community groups participated in over 300 walk events across the state, during Walk Week – Walk There Today from 3 to 9 November 2008.

The aim of Walk Week – Walk There Today is to raise awareness of the many benefits of walking and to encourage West Australians to be more active by walking for transport, health, recreation and the environment.
