Understanding legal issues confronting Australian sport and recreation

ANZSLA, the sports law association, with The Australian Government Standing Committee on Recreation and Sport (SCORS) is presenting free forums around Australia aimed at assisting administrators to understand legal issues confronting Australian sport and recreation.

The Western Australian forum will be held on 10 November 2009 and covers the following topics:

  • Topic 1: Disputes in Sport – Mediation and Grievance Handling
  • Topic 2: Duty of Care in Sport

The forums have been developed in plain English (without legal jargon!) and are designed to provide practical tips and suggestions for minimising legal risks in sport and recreation.

These forums are a must for volunteers, board and committee members of sporting clubs, and administrators of local and regional sporting and recreation organisations.
