Running from 11am to 2pm at the Constitutional Centre of WA, the WA Week 2009 Community Launch on Monday 19 October will feature:

  • Non-stop family entertainment
  • Traditional games and Nyoongar sports
  • WA Week giveaways
  • Displays by leading WA community organisations
  • Complimentary sausage sizzle and fresh fruit

Officially launching WA Week 2009 will be the Governor of Western Australia, Dr Ken Michael AC.

Leading into WA Week, this football game between an Indigenous Peel youth team and Clontarf is an opportunity for young Indigenous people to play sport, be active and meet Indigenous role models in sport.
This leads into Little Nippers Week, a week to celebrate children and youth in Mandurah.
