The Officiating General Principles course is offered in two courses, the Introductory and Advanced level. These courses need to be completed in conjunction with each sport's sport-specific course to gain accreditation in that sport.

The Officiating Courses equip the official with appropriate general principles skills and the confidence to officiate at the introductory level of sport.  The Advanced course provides the official an opportunity to improve these skills and assist with completion of their sport specific courses.

In partnership with Central TAFE, the Department of Sport and Recreation delivers the Officiating General Principles Courses regularly throughout the year at a subsidised cost which includes the relevant resource manual.

The courses consist of the following modules:

Advanced General Principles Course

  • Advanced Self Management
  • Advanced Managing the Competition Environment
  • Advanced People Management
