Commencing July 2010 indoor archery will be offered every Friday night from 7pm to 9pm by Lake Joondalup Archery Club at the Heathridge Leisure Centre, Sail Terrace.
27 July 2010
The
extended opening hours mean that the sport will be more accessible to those who
are unable to compete during work hours or on the weekend.
Ten new target buttresses will permit up to 40 archers to be on the line at any one time. The target faces can be 40cm single or Vegas styles. The targets are high density polystyrene foam packed with cloth permitting ease of extraction and protection of arrows. Seating and space behind the line for archers’ equipment is available.
Indoor archery is a recognized discipline and can be participated in at a competitive state, national and international level. The sport is a great way to get active and make new friends, because it is suitable ages, genders, levels of physical ability and seasons.
The indoor facility is available to anyone carrying an Archery Western Australia or Archery Australia current membership card. This is a smoke and alcohol free venue. Ample car parking is available. Cost per 2 hour session is $10. No bookings required.
