World renowned Cable Beach in Broome recently played host to the first beach triathlon to be held in Broome in many years.

Broome sports stars and sport and recreation volunteers will be recognised at the Broome Sports Association's (BSA) Broome Sports Star Awards on 20 November 2009 and nominations are now open.

Peel seniors could be found locked in a battle for superiority at the Murray Districts Community Recreation Centre on Tuesday 20 October, as the annual Be Active Aged Care Games came to town.
