WA State netball teams announced
Following three days of intense training and match play, Netball WA has selected its 17/U and 19/U State teams.

The final selections were held at Ray Owen Sports Centre in Lesmurdie where 24 athletes were chosen to represent Western Australia at the Netball Underage Nationals to be held in Adelaide in April 2010.
Kodie Blay, Netball WA’s Smarter than Smoking Development Manager was pleased with the high quality of talent on display.
“The selectors had an extremely difficult task this year with the standard of talent being higher than ever and some very talented athletes missing out on this year’s selection,” she said.
“For the last two months, leading into the trials, the 17/U athletes have been training in Netball WA’s State Academy Program and the Department of Sport and Recreation Regional Talent Development Program preparing athletes for the final trials. This year five country athletes are among the 12 athletes selected in the 17/U team.
“The 19/U athletes have been working under the guidance of Stacey Rosman, 19/U State Team Coach and former West Coast Fever Captain. We are thrilled to have Stacey on board, to have an elite player of Stacey’s calibre and experience taking on a State coaching role is a fantastic step forward for netball in the State."
